Humanitarian aid convoy for children refugees in the White Nile State

In response to the deteriorating humanitarian situation that affecting about one million people, mostly women, children and elderly, who fled to the Sudan due to wars and armed conflicts, and the famine crisis that hit South Sudan State.
Child Development Foundation (CDF) has staged a convoy for refugee camps in White Nile State from March 21, until, March 23, 2017. The convoy contained foodstuffs (corn, wheat flour, sugar, oil, lentils, dates, salt). The convoy targeted 1000 families. Child Development Foundation has held a meeting with humanitarian aid commissioner in the state, along with the delegations of World Food Program WFP, UNHCR and Red Crescent.
The meeting concluded that the aid provided by Child Development Foundation will be distributed at the crossing points. It is decided that 80% of it will be distributed at the Al-Maqinis crossing point in the West Bank and 20% at the Gouda in the East Bank.
