Child Development Foundation (CDF), organized in collaboration with Disarmament, Demobilization and reintegration Commission (DDR), and UNICEF, a workshop for social workers, psychologists, and animators about the guide to provide psychological and social support services for children, in presence of CDF’s representative, Minister of Social affairs, and Ministry of Education representative in El-Gezira state

Project Manager Hoyam Omar said the workshop targeted 32 social workers, psychologists, and service providers (animators) for children and communities in El-Gezira State. She pointed out that the workshop gave participants access to learn how to provide psychological and social support services through child-friendly spaces in El-Gezira State. She explained that a five day workshop provided a minimum level of intervention skills of service providers, and it increased capacity and improved knowledge and skills of service providers and psycho-social support for demobilized children in the state.

Minister of Social Affairs in El-Gezira State praised CDF national and local efforts to support children, and the role of donors in strengthening national efforts to protect children and enhance their abilities and skills of life.
