Promoting protective environment for children in Kassala State

The head of CDF Sub-office in Kassal State Omer Bashir said the objective of Promoting protective environment for children in Kassala State is to improve the livelihood of the targeted communities through package of activities including Vocational training, village saving, loans Associations, and cash grants.

Omer explained that the project targets “89956” child and their families in Kassla city, rural areas, Halfa, and Al-Gerba Communities. He said that within the programme of Promoting protective environment for children in Kassala state, they implemented five training courses which targeted 121 participants from civil society organizations working in the field of child protection. In Addition to that they implemented a training course in Wad Sharifi, Shajrab, Khashm Al Gerba, and Halfa Gadeeda to upgrade Life skills  that Linking beneficiaries to microfinance institutions in collaboration with local microfinance units and self-reliance management at Refugee Commission to familiarize beneficiaries with the systems and procedures for obtaining funding according to required guarantees.
