On 06 November 2019 - CDF participated in Sweden handover of agricultural equipment to Community Security and Stabilization Programme across (C2SP) Sudan.
Sweden along with Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) has partnered with UNDP, Government of Sudan organs like the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Social Development and Labour, SDDRC, state governors, with emphasis on community ownership of development.
During the handover ceremony which took place in Freedom Square, Khartoum, CDF's staff Reem Hashim stated that the objectives of the CDF’s exhibition in the handover ceremony is to sensitize participants about CDF’s achievements and interventions across Sudan.
Agricultural equipments were handed over by Sweden to the communities through state governments and relevant government institutions in five states of Blue Nile, Sennar, South Kordofan, West Kordofan, and North Kordofan states.
The Community Security and Stabilization Programme (C2SP) focuses on community based approach, which endeavors to establish community management committees to ensure sustainability of the projects and targets individuals with conflict carrying capacities particularly unemployed youth, at-risk women besides giving temporary employment to IDPs , returnees and refugees.
