Child Development Foundation (CDF) confirmed that, the process of making the future of internally displaced child, drop outs, soldier’s child and refugees are at the top of its priorities.
Khartoum sub-office’s Director, Huyam Omar said during the opening ceremony of the workshop in Bahari and eastern Nile localities, that organized by Khartoum sub-office in collaboration with Council of childhood in Khartoum, family and child protection unit in eastern Nile locality, on the referral program outside of the judicial system in the period from 01 May to 04/May/2017, she said that the workshop aimed to establish a new mechanisms for training and implementation of referral programs outside the judicial system within local communities, she indicated that the workshop targets fifty leaders of protection committees, and the teachers dealing with children in Bahari and eastern Nile localities, to activates the role of the local community in social reconciliation, and reducing child visible cases by the judiciary.
The referral program is considered one of the measures in the law of the child for the year of 2010. It means applied a conditional referral issues of child in law conflict away from the formal judicial actions, for making a better world in which child enjoys social reconciliation protection and ensure that their rights has been well protected.
