Child development foundation (CDF) confirmed that vocational trainings and life-skills programs are very important in achieving community sustainable development, due to its effective contribution in rural communities’ development and improving their economic situations.
Officer of CDF sub-office in Gadarif State, Awadallah Kingi said during the distribution ceremony, the vocational training program which funded by European Union (EU) and technically supported by CARE International Switzerland (CIS) covered 248 trainees, and developed their capacities in electricity, vehicles maintenance, Plumb, leatherwork, Perfumery, and accessories manufacturing. He noted that the training program has enhanced youth skills and capacities in different fields. Kingi expressed his sincere gratitude for the work and support of official and popular bodies and communities network for making the work done properly.
The Commissioner of Gadarif Locality said that CDF has topped the list of achievements especially in the field of child protection and life-skills development in the state, he mentioned that, vocational training graduates are ready to provide a professional service in electricity, vehicles maintenance, Plumb, leatherwork, Perfumery, and accessories manufacturing. He called all working organizations in Gadarif State to carry out their mission in the field of human capacity building and prepare younger generations for better tomorrow
