Child Development Organization (CDF) Organizes Recreational Day for Displaced Children at Al-Afadh Camp, Al-Dabbah Locality

The Child Development Organization (CDF), in partnership with the General Secretariat for Social Affairs and with generous support from UNICEF, organized a recreational day for displaced children at Al‑Afadh Camp in Al‑Dabbah.

The event was attended by the Head of the Emergency and Crisis Committee and Administrative Director of the locality, Mr. Al-Hassan Ibrahim Hamid, the Director of Humanitarian Aid, Ms. Kawthar Qeili, members of the committee, and a large number of displaced families. The day was marked by a warm humanitarian atmosphere filled with joy and positive emotions.

This activity was implemented as part of the organization’s psychosocial support program, aiming to provide children with a safe space to express themselves and reclaim a sense of childhood that has been deeply affected by the hardships of war and displacement.

The program included a variety of interactive and recreational activities for children and their families, designed to promote mental well-being, spread reassurance, and help alleviate the psychological impacts of trauma experienced during the past period.

In addition, the event delivered awareness messages to families on positive parenting approaches for children affected by conflict, encouraging the creation of a safe and supportive environment within the camp.

Officials attending the event praised the initiative, affirming their continued support for such humanitarian efforts that restore joy to children’s lives and strengthen their confidence in a better future. Many displaced families also expressed their happiness with the event, noting the smiles it brought to their children’s faces and the relief it provided amid the challenges of displacement.

The Child Development Organization reiterates its commitment to continuing psychosocial support programs and working closely with partners to protect children and support their families under the current humanitarian conditions.
