CDF Installed a Solar Energy System For The Water Source In East of Al-Gezira locality

In response to the emergency violence in Sudan, and in partnership with ZOA, the Child Development Foundation (CDF) made interventions to mitigate the effects of the war on the displaced in Al-Jazeera State in the East Al-Jazeera and Al-Hasahisa localities, This was done in agreement with the Humanitarian Aid Commission in Al-Jazeera State, under the name of the DRA- Acute Crisis Mechanism 2023.

The project provides activities in the fields of water, environmental sanitation, public health and food, and the project services cover displaced persons camps in the targeted localities.

 

Based on the activities of this project, CDF Sub-office in Al-jazeera installed a solar energy system consisting of (18 panels + inverter) for the water source of the village of Al-Tadamon Squire (6), Al-Junaid Area , East of Al-jezeera locality, this area was suffering from water scarcity and there was three shelter centers for displaced people, which led to the stability of the water supply in the region and covering the water needs of those centers and the host region.
